Today’s video is super Fun! haha “We are Young” by Fun Feat. Janella Monáe. Is one of my favorite songs and videos right now. A video that I wish I could’ve been part of to get into the action. Watch the video and you’ll see exactly what I mean. Happy Friday!
I still believe than whenever I get a really good idea, a light bulb appears on top of my head. The problem is that I can never see it. Yes, I’m a bit crazy. I don’t care. With that said, take a look at these awesome ideas on how to re-use an old light bulb. So simple, yet beautiful.
A Beautiful Mess has always been one of my favorite blogs. Elsie and Emma are amazing when it comes to photography, DIY projects and pretty much anything they do. Emma’s cooking, let me just say I wish we were friends so I can attend a dinner party! If we lived in the same state of course. They also make vintage look like it’s supposed to look. They own a vintage boutique called Red Velvet, that I dream of visiting one day. Check out these amazing clutches (my favorites), and go to their site (here) for more awesome stuff. You won’t regret it. I promise!
I guess this photo session doesn’t need a big introduction. Just be aware that my obsession to take pictures at the flea market grows a bit more every time I go (As seen last week here). Here are some of my recent faves. Happy Monday!

Loved these chairs!
Vintage dolls inside a mini shopping cart, so random!
Some old dice!
These remind me of my parents.
Old baseball glove and thermos. Plus old radio. Ready for a game.
Typewriters... always get me!
A cute little camera.
So inspiring to me.
What do you think? Can you tell I have too much fun there? What do you love photographing?
It’s Friday, that means it’s time for another cool music video. This week I’ve been busy working with both old and new. When I came across this one, I felt 15 again. Who remembers the band “Five”?!?! If you do, you are my friend. If you don’t, well, I’m talking about U.K’s boy-band from the 90’s. That’s right, I said boy-band. HAHA, Watching this video made me realize how far music has come nowadays. Meaning, messages in songs have gotten crazy. I’m glad I was a 90’s teen!. Anyways, enough talking. Enjoy this little throwback with me!
Do you remember Five? What”boy-band” do you remember? What are your favorite 90’s songs?
The day has come. Another Pinterest Challenge reveal day! These challenges were created by Katie @Bower Power and Sherry @Young House Love (Two of my favorite blogs). During past challenges, I had fun making these flower vases and painted pumpkins. This time around I didn’t paint anything. Instead, I made some awesome bracelets following a fun tutorial by Honestly WTF. It was so cool. As cool as Katie and Sherry for pushing me to create something out of my Pinterest boards. It was super easy and super worth it. The end result looks something like this…
Aren’t they cute?Have you made your own bracelets before? Did you participate in this winter challenge too?
I would love to see your projects! Share them with me by leaving a comment with your link below!
Fun fact these challenges are not sponsored by Pinterest we are all just Pinterest lovers!.
This past weekend I was flipping through the pages of Vogue and ran across Neiman Marcus’ new “The Art of Fashion” campaign for Spring 2012. Featuring a mother-daughter duo with Susan Sarandon & Eva Amurri Martino. Both ladies look stunning!. I’m not sure why it made such a big impact on me but I really, really, really liked it. I only hope that when I’m Susan’s age I can look like that. HAHA
After finding this picture months ago on Pinterest, I was dying to create my own bokeh. I followed this easy tutorial and voila! I walked over to the Urban Light sculpture at LACMA to play with it but found out that taking pictures of cars and stop lights was more fun. HAHA Look at some of my favorites!
So much fun!
All pictures taken by Me for Inspiration Nook.
Aren’t these fun? Have you taken pictures with your own bokeh too? What other techniques do you use?
I decided to create a new post topic, it’s called Friday’s Pick! It will featured one my favorite music videos of the moment. Cool right? Why didn’t I do this earlier? haha Since I work with music videos daily why not share some of my favorite ones with you more often. I’ve made some music videos related post before as seen here & here. Friday’s pick will be lots of fun!
To kick hings off, today’s pick is…… Ingrid Michaelson’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” cover. Originally sang by Goyte, this song has been in my head every day since the first time I heard it. After finding Ingrid’s cover, it made me like it even more. Both versions are amazing, but below you can enjoy Ingrid’s version. The video is something else too! Enjoy!
