Last month while in Vegas, I had the best Mac & Cheese of my life. Yes, I’m not kidding. It had bacon and tomatoes. I’ve never had it before and it blew me away. Once back home I knew I had to give it a shot. I decided to make it using Turkey bacon instead to make it
less fatty a bit more “healthy”. It came out A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It was super easy to cook and I made up my own recipe. It was just what I wanted and it definitely takes regular mac & cheese to the next level.
TURKEY BACON MAC & CHEESE
- 2 Boxes of White cheddar Mac & cheese (You can make the mac & cheese from scratch if you aren’t lazy like me)
- 2 Roma Tomatoes (Sliced in little cubes)
- Turkey Bacon (To taste, I used 4 strips)
Cook Mac & cheese as directed on the box. While that’s cooking in a separate pan, cook the bacon. Add the tomatoes and mix with a little bit of minced garlic if you like. Add this to the Mac & Cheese once it’s done. Serve in your favorite bowl. Add some Parmesan cheese on top if you love cheese like me. Green onions would be another great topping too.
I told you it was easy! Are you a mac & cheese fan too? What combinations do you like? Any recipes you would like to share?
Hope you get inspired!
