Daily Inspiration – Artists & Fleas

Yesterday I told you about the Chelsea Market. Well, here is my favorite part of it… Artists & Fleas! A great corner full of independent designers and artists, plus a few vintage collectors! In other words, a modern flea market! I absolutely loved it. I think we spent a good hour and half in there. If you are ever at the Chelsea Market you must stop here too! So much talent and inspiration in one room. I would love to go back on my next East Coast visit. Have you been?

Daily Inspiration – Salvation Mountain!

While out in Palm Springs one of our main goals was to take the drive out to Salvation Mountain. I’ve been wanting to go for quite some time and with all honesty, I think I planned going to Palm Springs just so we could go here. The mountain is simply the best art installation I have ever seen. Obviously I went picture crazy so I’m warning you… there is more pictures than usual on this post. If you ever have the chance to make it here, I’m telling you it will be soooo worth it! The drive is an adventure of it ‘s own. You will be in the middle of the California desert with a gorgeous view of the Salton Sea. Have you ever been?

Daily Inspiration – Banksy, is that you?

Almost two years ago, I shared how much I love this guy. Banksy that is. I was driving home and ran into this… I had to stop to snap a picture. Is that really by him? Don’t answer it, I don’t care. I love it either way. Have you seen any of his work? If so, tell me where! Isn’t street art awesome?

Daily Inspiration – The Art of Chase

If you have ever been to LA, you’ve probably seen these eye murals somewhere. They always seem to grab my attention. I love their bright colors, their contrast and random locations. Chase is the mastermind behind these. And after some research I realized that he has done murals all over the world. I think I’ll be going on a little adventure soon to take photos of all his murals around this city. Check out some of his work right here! I love Street Art!

Daily Inspiration – Renegade Craft Fair

Last December we went to the famous Renegade Craft Fair with some friends. I’ve always wanted to go so it was a no brainer when Mary suggested the idea. The whole fair was a little craft village in the middle of L.A. In other words, heaven for me. It reminded me a little of Unique L.A. All the artists were super friendly and some of the work was extremely inspiring. I also saw some familiar faces like The Poster List. Always so nice to see them. The craft station was my favorite. I mean, who doesn’t like making their own gift wrap? At the end it was a fun day filled with handmade art and friendly doggies everywhere. Did I mention it was a whole family event? The three of us had a blast. If they stop by a city near you, don’t hesitate to go. You will love it! For the full list of artists simply click here.

Daily Inspiration – Holi (Short Film)

You know when you get a chance to talk to someone you haven’t spoken to in a while & they remind you who you are, where you come from and how far you’ve come? This happened this week. Sometimes you get lost in a stupid routine and forget to pause, take a moment for yourself and realize how lucky you are. This film says it all. “Life is extraordinary. Embrace it”. Happy Friday!

Daily Inspiration – Dave Lefner

One of my favorite things to do during the Brewery Art Walk is visit Dave Lefner‘s space. It’s my favorite one by far. This time around was even more special since I got to talk to him about his creative process. Me, being the crazy fan of retro signs, fell in love with his work once again. His loft is a dream space for any artist. The vibe, the d├ęcor, his work space, everything will get you inspired. If you want to know a bit more about him and his awesome work you must watch the video below. Writing this post made me realize how lucky we were to visit such a cool event again and meet one of our favorite artists. Having one of his prints in our home will definitely be on my bucket list! Too cheesy? You know me! HA

What do you think? Isn’t that space pretty awesome? Have you been to an art walk recently?

P.S Now for more fun, watch this documentary! Trust me.
