Daily Inspiration – My Favorite Photo Apps!

I’ve gotten a lot of questions lately on what apps I use for my iPhone pics. Since joining Instagram, it has been so much fun meeting some of you and sharing all different kinds of tips. I decided to share a little list of favorites with you today. I’m no expert, just a photo app lover. Whenever I find a new favorite one I simply can’t stop. So in no specific order here they are…

1. Afterglow | 2. VSCO CAM | 3. Instagram | 4. Picture Show | 5. Over

1. My latest find and new fave is Afterglow. Since its release, I can’t stop using it and it has been fun seeing circle pics take over Instagram little by little.

2. VSCO CAM is great too. I love playing with different exposures on this one.

3. Instragram, well because it’s Instagram. (follow me: @inspirationnook)

4. Picture show is great to play with different frames and lights. It has tons of effects that are fun, plus the option to take photo-booth type pictures. I love taking those pics with my dog.

5. And last but not least, Over, which simply lets you add cool text over your pictures. The possibilities here are endless.

Hope this helps!! so what about you? what are your favorite apps? Leave me your comment and share your tips. I would love to hear from you guys.

P.S. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Daily Inspiration – Dave Lefner

One of my favorite things to do during the Brewery Art Walk is visit Dave Lefner‘s space. It’s my favorite one by far. This time around was even more special since I got to talk to him about his creative process. Me, being the crazy fan of retro signs, fell in love with his work once again. His loft is a dream space for any artist. The vibe, the décor, his work space, everything will get you inspired. If you want to know a bit more about him and his awesome work you must watch the video below. Writing this post made me realize how lucky we were to visit such a cool event again and meet one of our favorite artists. Having one of his prints in our home will definitely be on my bucket list! Too cheesy? You know me! HA

What do you think? Isn’t that space pretty awesome? Have you been to an art walk recently?

P.S Now for more fun, watch this documentary! Trust me.

Daily Inspiration – Sharpie Mug DIY

What should a girl do when bored at home? A little DIY that is. I read this tutorial on A Beautiful Mess a couple of weeks back and knew immediately I would give it a try. We already had some “boring” white mugs, so why not make them unique? So I grabbed my sharpie and went at it. I will admit that I practiced on a piece of paper first and tried all different words and styles and ended up picking something special to us. I loved the little string Elsie did on hers so I added that to mine too. Then, after 30 minutes in the oven at 350˚degrees they were done! To be completely honest, this was dangerous, now I want to use sharpie on all of our dishes. The mister better hide all the sharpies.

Aren’t they cute? Have you tried this method too? What have you done with sharpies?

Hope you get inspired!

Daily Inspiration – World Market Finds.

The other day, while killing time waiting for the mister to pick me up I did some browsing at World Market. I walked out wishing I could take all of it home. Browsing is free. Day dreaming too.

All pictures by me for Inspiration Nook.

Do you enjoy going to World Market too? What store do you like to kill time in?
