Daily Inspiration – Holi (Short Film)

You know when you get a chance to talk to someone you haven’t spoken to in a while & they remind you who you are, where you come from and how far you’ve come? This happened this week. Sometimes you get lost in a stupid routine and forget to pause, take a moment for yourself and realize how lucky you are. This film says it all. “Life is extraordinary. Embrace it”. Happy Friday!

Inspiration Style – 50 First Dates

50 first Dates is another film I can watch over and over again. I love Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore together. Their chemistry on screen is great.  I’ve never been to Hawaii and this film makes me want to get on a plane right now.

:)

I love Drew’s character’s laid back style. Even the soundtrack is pretty awesome… where you can find this cute song!

One of my favorite scenes.

Love the lillies.

I love the fact that Drew’s character makes waffle houses from her waffles. I have yet to try that.

Too funny.

This little guy stole the show. I definitely recommend watching this film when you need to laugh a little or simply feel like watching a good romantic comedy.

Inspiration Style – The Notebook

The Notebook… where do I start? One of my favorite movies of all time! Just look at the poster…

New Line Cinema 2004. Directed by Nick Cassavetes. Staring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

Directed by Nick Cassavetes, based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks. The film was released back in 2004, stars Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as a young couple who fall in love during the early 1940s. I know that pretty much every girl out there has this film on their top 10, and like I said before, who doesn’t like Ryan Gosling? Rachel McAdams is amazing in this film too! I bet there are tons of men out there who had to watch this film because of their wives, girlfriends, sisters, etc. and maybe deep inside they enjoyed it too. haha

I have to admit, this is the only film that made me go and buy the novel right after leaving the theater. I read the novel I think in a day or two and loved the movie even more.

The set design, the clothes, the music, the locations, everything was perfect. Like I’ve said before, the non-linear style is one of my favorite ways to watch a love story.

The Notebook is a classic film in my book and even after all these years, I still find myself saying… “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird”.

The Inspiration Style – Blue Valentine

Blue Valentine was one of my favorite films last year.  It’s a film by Derek Cianfrance, starring Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling.

Awesome poster

Who doesn’t love Ryan gosling? I think he is super talented. Michelle Williams is one of my favorite actresses too. I loved the fact that she was nominated for an Oscar for her role, but I was disappointed that Ryan Gosling wasn’t. I think he deserved it.

It’s a love story told in a very different way using a non-linear narrative style. A way that I actually enjoy a lot (like I mentioned here before).. If you haven’t seen it, give it a try, it just came out on DVD/Blu-ray. Check out Ryan Gosling’s amazing singing talents and the trailer here.

Something I left the theater talking about for days was the movie titles, yes I’m a film geek so I appreciate some good tittles. Check them out here.

One of my favorite scenes is when they’re goofing around while Ryan’s character plays the ukulele and Michelle’s character dances to it. It’s the most romantic yet charming scene.

The Inspiration Style – 500 Days of Summer

Where do I start? 500 Days of Summer is one of those films I walked out of the theater feeling inspired and lucky. The story is great and the way is cut is the way I like to travel through any romantic story.

Love this scene!

Directed by Marc Webb. Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, two of my favorites, makes you smile and cry all at the same time. Zooey’s character is really something else but easy to relate to (at least I did) and Joseph’s is the perfect guy that makes you want to watch the movie over and over again. Not gonna lie, I was the happiest when my boyfriend got me the DVD last Christmas. And honestly I lost count of how many times I’ve seen it. Is the perfect medicine for those days when all you want is to fall in love all over again.

Love it!

The soundtrack is also incredible, I bought it right after watching the film, and Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition” was my favorite for months. “She & Him” also make an appearance in the soundtrack and from then on Zooey’s band was part of my iPod for life!

Awesome Soundtrack!

Here are some things that will make you feel part of the movie. Hope you get inspired!
