As I drove home last night. It dawned on me that Palm trees are a sign of vacation for a lot of people. For me, they will always be a reminder of home. South Florida and California are full of them. How did this happen?

I’m not even sure what their name is, but I don’t care. For me they will always be “those pretty flowers on the side of the road”. You never know when you will get inspired and this is another example. On that note, here is a little print I made for you and some pics.

I don’t know about you but I feel like this year is flying by. How is it April already? I’m so glad that days are a bit longer and I get to see the sunset from our kitchen window. But, I do have a big favor to ask “2013″, could you slow down a little? Don’t you feel the same way? Please let me know I’m not crazy.
Yesterday I decided to walk to the flea market. I know, not big news. It was for me. Not taking the 5 minute drive turned into an hour long adventure and I can’t wait to do again. Sometimes those little moments we take for granted are simply the best ones. Between this little walk and the Oscars it was the perfect Sunday. Did you have a good Sunday?
This year I promised myself to always stay on the positive side. So let’s all dream BIG today. And tomorrow, and the day after that. Well, everyday. After all dreaming is free, isn’t it? Happy Wednesday everyone.
I’ve gotten a lot of questions lately on what apps I use for my iPhone pics. Since joining Instagram, it has been so much fun meeting some of you and sharing all different kinds of tips. I decided to share a little list of favorites with you today. I’m no expert, just a photo app lover. Whenever I find a new favorite one I simply can’t stop. So in no specific order here they are…
1. Afterglow | 2. VSCO CAM | 3. Instagram | 4. Picture Show | 5. Over
1. My latest find and new fave is Afterglow. Since its release, I can’t stop using it and it has been fun seeing circle pics take over Instagram little by little.
2. VSCO CAM is great too. I love playing with different exposures on this one.
3. Instragram, well because it’s Instagram. (follow me: @inspirationnook)
4. Picture show is great to play with different frames and lights. It has tons of effects that are fun, plus the option to take photo-booth type pictures. I love taking those pics with my dog.
5. And last but not least, Over, which simply lets you add cool text over your pictures. The possibilities here are endless.

My friend Becky Zaccard who is a “Wisconsaholic” asked me to take some pictures for her awesome funny vlog. Whenever I photograph my friends I get super excited (as seen here & here).
