I discovered this little DIY over at Cape 27 thanks to a House Crash post from Young House Love . I pinned it and waited way too long to make it. I knew I had to since I had some leftover mason jars from these babies. I will admit, it did not take only 20 minutes. It took me and the mister around 4 days to get it done between not having a drill or the right tools. Luckily we borrowed them and were finally ready to tackle this thing. I will confess, we are now proud owners of a drill people! I know, I’m impressed too! Days after completing this I got inspired to finally get one (thanks to a coworker selling it!) Maybe it was a sign? Anyways, the end result is pretty sweet. I felt like I had accomplished something huge after all my hammered fingers (true story). Who knew working with a little piece of reclaimed wood would be so hard. Check out the tutorial here. You know you want to. Please let me know how long it takes you to make it if you do! HA

We needed a little piece of reclaimed wood for a project that is giving me way too many headaches. We stopped by this cute shop for it. Funny thing, we had driven by it tons of times without knowing how awesome it was. The outside always got my attention with this awesome pallet wall installation. Needless to say I had to show you. Take a look.

This is the easiest DIY ever. Not sure if it even deserves a post, but I felt like oversharing today HA! I got this magnetic tape sometime last year, I can’t even remember where. (Similar one found here) Months later on an impulse buy, I picked up these cute clothespins from the dollar bin at Target. They were a match made in heaven for the magnet roll . To create your own, all you gotta do is cut a little piece from the magnet roll, stick it to the back of the clothespin and voila! You’re done. I told you this was gonna be easy. Don’t judge me. If only all DIY’s were like this one. Coming from the girl with sore hammered fingers, true story.

As I drove home last night. It dawned on me that Palm trees are a sign of vacation for a lot of people. For me, they will always be a reminder of home. South Florida and California are full of them. How did this happen?

Today marks two years since I started this little nook on the world wide web. Like my dad always says, “Time flies when you’re having fun”. I simply couldn’t let today go by without saying  THANK YOU to you for even stopping by. Hope you enjoy this little space as much as I do. I thought it will be fun to party together. Well, cyber party! To kick things off I decided to host a little giveaway with some of my favorite things! Now close your eyes and say that again with Oprah’s voice, 1, 2, 3… FAVORITE THINGSSSSSSSSS! Ok, I wish I could give away a car to all of you, but seriously I can’t even afford to get a new one myself. Yes, I’m that person that eats chocolate while decorating, assembling furniture or blogging. I might even be eating some right now. Anyways, these are a few of my favorite things, I figured they will make you or a friend happy too. Besides, I wouldn’t be typing this “2nd blogiversary” post if it wasn’t for you who reads this.

I’ve been driving past this flower shop for quite some time now. The cute roses out front always got my attention. Then one weekend as we were leaving a store to get in our car, I noticed we weren’t far from this cute shop. Obviously I kept walking towards it. It wasn’t even planned, it was the best surprise ever as I was mesmerized by all the pretty flowers, I found a bucket with some “chicken balls”. I was so excited, I finally found some real Billy Buttons. With that said, I didn’t even know they were called “chicken balls”. I was so happy to be taking some home. Have you discovered cute places like this too? Did you know billy buttons were called chicken balls?
